We support our customers in implementing and ensuring the internal training needs of their managers and employees. We design workshops and seminars that are tailored to your needs. For more than 20 years we have been supporting well-known companies in Germany and abroad in the conception and implementation of workshops & trainings in our core competencies “leadership”, “communication and customer orientation” and “personality development”. In more than 20 years and more than 200 workshops, seminars, and individual coaching sessions per year, we have gained a lot of experience – also in various industries. This flows into every workshop. All our course participants appreciate the concrete examples for their own reflection. And for us, they serve as visualisation.

Our seminars are tailored to your needs and expectations and are hands-on. The trainings are conducted by trainers from the field for the field. All your contact persons have gained many years of management experience in various industries before becoming self-employed, so that we can appoint the right trainer for your industry.

A large team of more than 10 trainers enables us to cover practically any desired date. We conduct our trainings in 5 languages. This enables us to accompany even large projects over a longer period of time in all language regions of Switzerland or internationally.

THE Business Training Company GmbH was founded in February 1999 by Jacqueline Steffen Oberholzer as a sole proprietorship under the name “steffen strategic marketing & management”. As a marketing & communication expert the primary focus was to support SMEs in marketing issues, which was one of the main tasks until 2003. In the year 2000 she trained as a coach, which was the start of her present job. From 2004 onwards, under the name of “steffen coaching – the business training company”, seminars, trainings and coaching’s were offered exclusively.

At the same time, a team of several trainers was built up to be able to offer her clients a wider range of topics and, above all, training in several languages. In 2018 the sole proprietorship was converted into a limited liability company. Jacqueline Steffen lives what she passes on and she keeps her promises. Her workshops are extremely practice-oriented, as she can draw on a wealth of experience as a communications specialist and member of the management board before founding the company, as well as the experience gained from over 200 training sessions per year for more than 20 years. Your questions, wishes and needs are the focus of every training.

Management & Owner

Jacqueline Steffen manages the company and is your contact person for all questions concerning training or coaching. She leads her workshops & trainings with passion and very concrete examples from everyday life. Since she asks and knows the expectations and wishes before a training, she can adapt very well to the participants and meet or exceed the needs of the target group. She has a firm grasp of many topics and can therefore also cover questions that go beyond the scope of the training. She conducts training and coaching in German, English and Spanish.

Anja is an actress and trainer with a focus on performance skills, body language and communication. She also supports us wherever workshops with Business Acting and many role plays are desired. She conducts her trainings in German and French.

Silvia Marty

Silvia is an economist and public relations expert. She conveys a contemporary, reader-friendly writing style and conducts her trainings in German and English. She has gained her experience mainly in the financial sector. She develops corporate language guides for various companies and edits publications.

Mirko Oberholzer

Mirko holds a degree in law and economics (lic.iur. HSG) from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He also holds a postgraduate degree in European and International Business Law (M.B.L – HSG) and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA HSG). He has many years of management experience in international companies and conducts management and negotiation training and change management workshops.

Christa Schwarz

Christa is an economist FH, has a federal diploma in marketing planning and a master’s degree in business communication. She is the marketing and communication expert in the team. She conducts trainings in German and English.

Silvia Wieland

Silvia is a businesswoman and retail specialist. She is a long-standing expert in all trainings related to personnel management and employee interviews and inspires with her lively manner. She conducts workshops in German.
